More knitting by the Weber boys.

Mark's boss has a daughter that is due any day now with a baby girl. Even though it's August right now Alex and Ethan decided that it will be getting chilly all too soon and that baby is going to need a hat....or two. SO, we went to not one but three stores in search of the perfect yarn. (Not that I complained one bit!) I happened to pick up a few more knitting items for myself as well. Hee-hee. Anyway, at last they found just the right yarn. Alex chose a textured yarn and bought one in pink and the other lavender. Ethan chose a very soft yarn in a pale pink and another in white with just a touch of lavender mixed in throughout. They worked the weekend away and I was very impressed with their results. When the hats themselves were done they decided if they wanted to put a topper on them or leave the hats plain. Alex chose to make a pom-pom top for his but Ethan wanted something a bit different and more delicate for his. We decided on a crocheted flower. This was a new skill Ethan had to learn but I'd have to say he picked it up very quickly! This morning he was trying it and Alex had Ethan show him how to do it. :)

Here's a few shots of their handy work.

Those are beautiful hats. You can tell how soft they are just by looking at the picture. I'm sure the baby will love them.

I just wanted to say for stopping in my my blog, and you have a great blog as well, and wow you home school..you are a much braver person than I am. So parent to parent is there any thing I need to know about bicuspid valve that maybe the doctors don't share...do you know what I mean?? I am sorry if that question seems stupid. But I am new to this, autism I am can handle and am used to, but not heart conditions. Any input would be great.
And thanks again for your post.

Nice to "meet" you. Boys are wild, crazy, and wonderful aren't they. Life is never dull. Happy Birthday! So cute seeing your boys knit. I enjoy quilting and my oldest showed an interest for a fleeing moment when he was 5 or 6 but like I said a fleeting moment in time...haha:)
