Last Week.

Been having too much fun to post so while the boys are swinging "Up to the tree tops" this morning I thought I'd try and catch up a bit.
Last week we went to Greg and Sam's house for the afternoon. What fun! The boys swam a bit but the weather did not seem to want us in the pool. We did plenty of other wild and fun things though. First we cut out pictures from magazines and glued them on paper to make new funny pictures. This is always a good time! The boys tried to play Clue....they really ALL tried but it proved to be just too much with the two 7 year olds and and 2 year old in the mix. I would have to say the hit of the day was Greg's airplane making. That poor boy made at least a dozen or maybe two very cool planes all of which flew loops around in Maddie's house. Not one thing was broken and only one or two planes landed in the light fixtures. :) Of course the ones that were flown outside ended up on the roof. :)
The boys had a blast and I got some very helpful and much needed knitting advice from Miss. Claire. She is one amazing knitter! It's like magic when she holds the yarn and something very NOT magical when I do. Hey, I'm having so much fun though. I can now knit AND purl.....yes this is big stuff here! I've been working on all kinds of new stitches this weekend - there's no stopping me now! Umm, well as long as you only want a scarf or maybe a small blanket....that may or may not have a few dropped stitches or possibly a few extra ones. Let's just say that my pieces are one of a kind! LOL.

Miss. Claire - World's best babysitter, magical knitter, one cool friend.

Friday found us back at the creek. This time Zac stuck to Greg and Sam like glue. He loves that they actually listen to him like he's a big guy. Zac brought his boats this time and Alex and Ethan were just hoping to find a leech. YUCK!

Saturday Alex went to a birthday party for a friend of his from gymnastics. I walked him in, said hello to Oliver's mom, made sure Alex was all set and then left. I left my son! Except for one sleepover I've never left him at a party before. We ALL did great though. Alex had SO much fun. It was at a cyber place so the party boys got to play every game imaginable on every game system there is. It was like a dream come true for Alex! LOL. Mark, Ethan, Zac and I had fun all on our own. Without a moody 10 year old you can really have a great time. Hee-hee.

Oh my Gosh! It sounds like everyone had a blast!
xoxoxo

PS--(when you're at the creek with the kids aren't you afraid of some close encounters with rattle snakes or some nasty spiders such as funnel webs or black widows?!)
