Hats for the Homeless

There is a reason we call him our sweet Ethan. That child has the biggest heart I've ever seen. Ethan, like myself, loves to knit and he uses that to help others. He has knit hats for auctions and charitable events not to mention there is not a newborn we know that does not have a hat made with love by Ethan. His latest idea though took me by surprise. He wants to knit hats for the homeless. Ethan has a personal goal to knit at least 5 hats by the 13th of December. We took his idea a step farther and invited all our homeschool friends which include many VERY talented knitters and crocheters that would put Ethan and my knitting skills to shame. Several have already volunteered to donate their time and talent and others have offered to donate yarn. It's amazing what can be done and how simple it all seems to a child. I don't think he even realizes what a kind person he is or that there are so many people out there who simply would never think to care about the things he does. He truly is our sweet Ethan. :)

THat is such a sweet idea.
My Brittney is like that, Braden not so much. We laughed because I don't remember the exact disaster but Brittney came in with her bank and wanted to send all her money to them. I looked at Braden and he said "I'll pray for them"...it was so funny because he was like no way am I sending my money but he did offer to pray which is so important he is just not the overly generous heart like his sister.
Good luck on the project.
