This is about my cousin, Amy Crenshaw. Very sad story, especially coming from my small hometown in Illinois of only 3,300 people. This is going to tear up a lot of families.
Murder investigation in Rushville

RUSHVILLE, ILL. -- Police in Schuyler County, Illinois have a suspect in custody for a murder that occured in Rushville overnight.
Thirty-eight-year-old Jeff Crabtree will face charges for home invasion, murder and aggravated battery.
Authorities say at 12:52 a.m. on Friday, Amy Crenshaw called police to say someone broke into her home.
When police arrived, they discovered a grizzly scene. Police say they found blood all over the residence and Crenshaw severely beaten and Chris Curry dead from apparent massive head trauma.
Several weapons were seized from the residence, including a flash light.
Curry's body was sent to Springfield for an autopsy.
Crenshaw was Crabtree's ex-girlfriend.
Amy has said that Jeff forced her to watch as he beat Chris to death. Amy is in the hospital in Springfield and we are waiting to hear how she is doing.
UPDATE: Amy is going to be ok. She has a concussion, a very large gash in the back of her head, a broken nose, a broken cheek and her face is very swollen and very badly bruised. She was lucky.

Oh my god!!! I'll have to watch the news of that tonight. Rushville isn't all that far from here. I'm glad your cousin will be physically ok but something like that will scar her emotionally for life. How sad and tragic. I feel for her. Stories like that make me sick.

What???? I just got home from Vegas.... and this is the first I've heard about this!!!! OMG!!!
