My sweet Ethan never complains. He could have large chunks of his body missing and he would not say a word. When he is sick or hurt, he never mentions it. When I discover and injury or a fever - he is the one telling me not to worry and that he will be fine - that it does not hurt all that much. SO sweet, so strong.
Monday he had a fever of 104.6...never complained but was a little quite and not eating (VERY strange for Ethan!)
Tuesday he acted like he was feeling fine.
Yesterday - only when asked why he was not eating yet again he said he just could not take the pain when he swallowed. POOR GUY! His throat was on fire!!! VERY, very red. No fever though. I made his some hot tea and we cuddled up to read a Magic Tree house book.
By 8:30 pm I tucked him in. A little later he was up his eyes were matted shut and he was saying he just could not stand the pain in his throat and to PLEASE help him. Ethan actually said he was in pain??? Mark and I decided this was serious. Although I almost never give my children or myself medication, we decided to give Ethan something to help with his sore throat and I wiped his eyes with a warm washcloth.
* 9:30 he was up and having a reaction to the medication.
* 10:30 - throwing up, twitching and getting worse. He was begging us to take him to the doctor. We NEVER go to the doctor (I think they are all quacks!)
* 11 pm Zac up wondering what's going on.
* Sometime around mid-night Mark decides to take him to urgent care. IDIOTS!!!! They confirmed by belief that doctors are quacks! They told him to blow his nose and not eat candy or greasy foods the next day. What the @!%#@!! is that? Like he gets that crap anyway, but really, what the @#!%#???
* Once home I do what all real mommies do. I sit up and hold him.
* 3:30 am Ethan falls asleep.
* 3:45 Alex is up coughing and sleep walking.
* 4 am Alex asleep
* 6 am Alex back up.
* 6:20 Alex asleep
* 7 am Ethan up - still sick but doing better. Eyes still yucky and throat still sore.
* 7:15 am Zac up.
* 8 am - all three boys bright eyed and busy tailed and ready to run wild.
Mommy....not so much.

Awww, poor kid. It's so hard to see them miserable like that isn't it?? Strange advice from the dr's. I am very picky with dr's and am lucky that we have a really good one for our boys that I trust. Hope he's back to normal soon.
